September Sfriso Tasting Box

September is a month when the countryside roads of Veneto fill up with small and big tractors for the grape harvest. Sticky roads, slow traffic, and the scent of fermenting wines characterize the mood and atmosphere.

Most winemaking families have long working days in the fields and in the wineries. That’s also true for us, here at our winery.

One of our favorite grapes is the Verduzzo Trevigiano and it will be picked towards the end of September. The uniqueness of this grape is that it is truly local, and it has, unfortunately, become rare. It’s a real treasure to find Verduzzo Trevigiano these days.

So this month we are praising our Verde Frizzante, a wine made with Verduzzo Trevigiano grapes, and have prepared a tasting box to celebrate it. Every flavor and taste combination in this Tasting Box praises what's authentic and local in Veneto.

This wine is a fresh, light, and fizzy wine perfect for a late afternoon aperitivo in the garden, park, terrace, or in front of the tv if you prefer.

    Bigoi Sauce: this ready Bigoi sauce is made by preparing a finely chopped onion and adding anchovies to obtain a creamy sauce. Ingredients: onion (60%), sunflower oil, anchovies (20%), salt, sugar, pepper, aromatic plants. It may contain traces of celery, soya, or its derivatives.
